This place really takes you to Punjab where you get the best and the most authentic North Indian/Mughlai Cuisine.
After a long time sat at the Dhaba , normally its always the restaurant , but today realized that the food tastes much better sitting at the Dhaba which again gives you a feel that one is outside Mumbai.
We were a group hence the choice was vast.
Strictly No Alcohol as we wanted to concentrate on the food.
Chaas : Perfectly done.
Jal Jeera : Very cooling and an Ideal drink for indian summers . apart from water it’s a mix of Cumin it has mint , tamarind , fennel and black pepper . a tangy , sour aromatic drink.
Starters Veg :
Tandoori Mushroom : Perfectly marinated and charcoaled dish. ( since I do not like mushrooms , wont be able to comment on the taste)
Crispy Roomali Karkari : this is a Must have when at Pritam. U just can”t stop having one !!
Paneer Kandhari : Speciality of Pritam. Beautifully done again a Must have. Just Melts in the mouth. Rich In cream and stuffed with cottage cheese. YUM.
Bharwan Aloo : Another delicacy of Pritam , Aloo scooped and stuffed with Panner , and cream and home malasa and topped with Raisin and Mawa. Wooh !!
Non Veg Starters :
Chicken Nawabi Kabab : The dish of the day . Not in the menu but it was basically like a malai kabab which was again fantastic in taste and just melted in mouth .
Tandoori Basa : what do i say about this ?? Just try and give your views . i would rate this at 6/5 if given a chance . Just amazing . ( i used to never had fish , but when it comes to Basa of Pritam , i have to order it and finish ) Outstanding.
Chichen Hariyali : Very well done , full of flavours and a must try , again a killer of a dish . wow.
In between someone from the group mentioned why don’t we try some Masala Kulcha/Naan and see if it be compared to the Dhaba’s of Punjab . Bang , it was !! Well done Chef . Naan stuffed with Onions , Chilly , smashed Potato plus the special masala/herbs of the restaurant . We just thought we would taste one but ending having 3 , just as a starter.
Next was the Chura Paratha , Wheat based roti , crumbled when hot , topped with pure Ghee . Outstanding taste. Must try. Even this came just in between the mains . Hot and Yum.

we made it simple :
3 signature dishes of Pritam which can’t be missed ‘
Butter Chicken : rated the top 5 in Mumbai and it lives to what it says , amazing taste and full of cream and shredded/ diced pieces of chicken.
Dal : Again a specialty and cannot be missed. Must Try.
Sarson Da Saag : This is a tricky. We inquired if it was fresh and not canned and the moment we got a nod from the chef its fresh asked for it and wow . Taste just amazing. Must try till the season is there ( Nov till March)
Missi Roti and Makki Di Roti – Both go well with the above.
Jeera Rice / Curd
We so very badly wanted to have Jalebi , but it wasn’t available , opted for :
Rabdi – just outstanding – Must try
Gulab Jamun : again a winner
Malai Kulfi : with rabdi and its heaven on earth . do try it .
I must say one of the best Indian Food i have had in a log long time.
Must visit place , highly highly recommended .

Some one wanted to have the Lassi – after all this ?
Lassi it was and it was just perfect , not so sweet and thick like what you get back in the north of india .
Overall a great evening , will surely visit this place again and again …….
