No Vacancy – New baby at Carter Road – Bandra. Ashok Datwani who gave us Satranj Napoli opened this Bar and Bistro some days back. A bit different concept at the Bar where the Bar tenders cook behind their console. Overall the place has got a good feel to it. One would get the Lounge Feel as the night progresses. Cuisine – it has American / Italian / Tex-mex and Asian. Opens to public at 7 pm. Staff is attentive, service is good.
QUEEN # 3 – Way to Go Guys !!
After the Success of The English Department ( Malad ) and Newly Opened at Thane , This is Back to Back.
Frankly i was not so impressed with TED at Malad which i had visited about 10 Months back – Today was the opposite. The Menu remains the same but the recipes have changed. Thanks to the Head chef who is Ex. BBC.
Interiors look good – been there yesterday Morning – Evenings are totally different.
This place has a good vibe and looks positive.
Since it’s at Bandra West – The taste of the food is Apt for crowd living in that area. Menu is vast. One can get confused.
My overall experience was good – from Service to food a bit of a miss on the Dessert (Me and TED have this in Common )

SMOKE HOUSE DELI – one of my all time favourites has started a Healthy Menu. Frankly was in two minds, stick to the normal Menu or all out Healthy !! It was healthy all the way.
Just to give you a small brief about this place , it’s a cute little place at Pali Hill , they have a sitting on the lower floor as well as on the first. Decor is brilliant. White is commonly used in all the SMD cafes.
Brain child of Mr Riaz Almani who has with him SOCIAL/TASTING ROOM/SALT WATER CAFE and Prithvi Cafe ( i guess )
Not waiting much time here is what we had :
Kaitlyn’s Beer Garden – Perfect Name , Situated in Bandra , another perfect location chosen. Interiors well done. But Can and did get Noisy towards the end. A mix of Continental/Italian/Finger Food/Biryani/Pizza/Chinese hmm .. there is a saying ” Too Many Cooks Spoils the Broth ” – In this case had the chef stuck to less variants in cuisine – maybe it would have been better.
Any Ways – The beers which we tasted were good , but at the end i preferred having the KOLSCH – smooth light and good. As far as Beer goes , personally feel there has to be a variation in the taste – at a certain point , the beers i tasted had a monotonous flavour . Still KOLSCH was the winner.
One Street Over – Surely Blew me Over . Amazing Service , great Cocktails and one of the most delicious food i have had in recent times. I seriously don’t understand why such negative feedback , but for me this place was a winner. People have been debating if it’s a Bar / Lounge / Club – For me its a place where one can come , enjoy cocktails and have some good Bar Food .
The menu is not that elaborated but whet ever chef Boo Kim and Chef Kevin have put up , its apt for this place.
Ashutosh handling the bar has done a fantastic job and as far as Chef Kim , man hats off to this Chef , hospitality at its best . . Going to each and every table and taking a feedback which is truly appreciated in this competitive industry .
