Awadhi Festival at The Masala Bay Taj Lands End Mumbai – A bit about Awadhi Cuisine , a native to Lucknow, which is the Capital of Uttar Pradesh in North India. I heard one great Chef saying it’s very closely related to Bhojpuri cuisine of the neighbouring region Bhojpur. After which I have not heard much about Bhojpuri part. Cooking Style somewhat similar to Central Asia/Middle east and Obviously Northern India (Both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian) this cuisine is greatly influenced by the Mughlai Cooking style or you can call it the Nawabi Food.

We all have heard about the DUM STYLE of Cooking ( Slow Fire ) which was Invented by the Bawarchis ( Chef’s ) and Rakabdars ( Gourmet Cooks ) They do Boast of their kebabs/Kormas/Biryani/Nihari-Kulchas/Waqri Paratha and the list can go on and on.

Bombay Vintage – Opened In January 2016 , this place has the class. Be it the Decor Ambience Food .. all Seemed to be perfect. The first impression from the name , will take you down memory lane and it did. It has that Vintage Look , the Vintage ambience , the velvet red chairs marble tables , rusty walls , old clocks , radios , typewriter , switches the arches on one side of the wall .. Somewhat a bit like Woodside Inn.

Has two levels the lower which is a bit casual and the upper level which has that Vintage feel . also they have a small 8/10 sitter private cabin where one can enjoy a small get-together.

The Cooperate Chef hails from Calcutta who has 4 restaurants under him and the Sous Chef is Giakwad who has managed to put a good menu. Interesting Twists and turns and innovations. Fully Loaded Bar ..

From Breakfast to soup to salad it looks interesting the menu. Continue reading “BOMBAY VINTAGE”

Little Italy

Little Italy – Takes you back memory lane. Remember the first outlet which had opened in Pune. Since then It’s no looking back. That was then one of the only Place ( now a brand ) to serve authentic pizzas. Looking at Little Italy many have tried to copy it but failed , his place has still managed to keep up the Hype and at the same time the quality of food. All over India now , he does give you the consistency in some of their signature dishes like the Caesar Salad , Pizzas ….

Yes , they may have and Have started catering to the local crowd – compromising on the authenticity which was there THEN but even then the Ingredients used are Top Notch and the service ” A ” class.

I would be writing this review based on the Taste which caters to a certain pocket – But my favourites have not changed in taste for which its full marks.
